Because of her interest in dolls over the past 25 years, Donna Sabonis has
been fortunate enough to be able to share her enthusiasm with others
through seminars, classes, and making her own dolls in her business of
"Donna's Children." Donna's beautiful handmade dolls make perfect gifts for
Christenings, First Communions, other special occasions, and of course,
for discerning collectors of all ages. Donna will even work with clients to
create a custom doll in the image of a beloved child, family member or friend.
"I love seeing the excitement on my students faces when they complete their
own doll. It is gratifying to share in other people's accomplishments.
Creating dolls is an art form that allows me to bring porcelain clay to life. I
loved playing with dolls as a child and it's wonderful to be able to continue
this enjoyment in my career as a doll maker. Because these dolls are all
hand made, you can use the same doll mold more than once and yet each
doll takes on its own character in the way it is painted, wigged, & costumed.
