Laurie Fleming, owner of Molly Kate Designs considers herself
very fortunate to live in the lovely town of Sandwich on Cape cod,
Massachusetts with her beautiful daughter Molly, now away at
college.
A psychotherapist, specializing in geriatrics, which she finds
rewarding, sad, poignant and much needed for a generation that
endured much and complained little.
"Jewelry making for me is the perfect antidote to the stresses I
encounter in a field that can be very draining. Alone at home
surrounded by beautiful gems, with passion and imagination as my
tools I am lost in a world where time is of no consequence and
possibilities are endless, where joy can be as simple as a pretty pair
of earrings or a sparkling bracelet in just the right colors.
All of my pieces are made with high quality components including
glass lampwork beads handmade in the U.S. many by local artists,
genuine Swarovski crystals from Austria and only sterling silver or
gold-filled metals, rarely silver or gold plate. Most pieces are one of
a kind and painstakingly designed and crafted with meticulous
attention to even the smallest detail. All are made with great
personal pride.
