Marie Flahive paints in watercolor, trying to capture the fleeting motion of a moment with the
people, places and objects she represents. Marie is proud to be a member of the Academic Artists
Association, North Shore Arts Association, and Cape Cod Art Association. Her awards include
Academic Artists Association National Juried Show, Westfest (MA) Best in Show, Piedmont (CT)
Art Awards, and Cape Cod Art Association.
"Painting should be exciting.The challenge of representing an idea with color and form is one that I
find addicting. In trying to achieve an artistic goal, the process itself is an enjoyment."
